Mactan Island, Cebu, Weather Information
Mactan Island weather is influenced to the greatest extent by the two dominant weather patterns that prevail over much of the northern Philippines, depending upon the season: the northeast monsoon, "amihan", November to April; and, the southwest monsoon, "habagat", from May to October. The northeast monsoon features drier and slightly cooler weather; the southwest monsoon weather is generally warmer and wetter, especially in the afternoons. If you are planning to come to Mactan Island for sailing and scuba diving then you need to know that the weather is perfect almost all of the year round; just check the weather forecast to avoid occasional typhoons during middle of the year as these may affect your onward or return flight schedules.
