Bamboo Bungalows on Boracay Island is one of the medium priced Boracay beach resorts about half way along Boracay's white sand beach that has made Boracay Island so famous. Boracay Island was, until the early 1980s, nothing more than a tropical island paradise, with one long white sand beach on one side and one shorter coral fronted beach on the other. There was nothing on Boracay Island except for a small fishing community. When first visited by sailing yacht it was possible to trade ice (from an on-board ice making machine) for beer, and then sleep on the beach. What a difference three decades makes!
