This Hong Kong webcam looks East across the famous Victoria Harbour towards the original Hong Kong Kai Tak airport. In the centre of this webcam view, along the waterfront, is the sensually curved roof of the Hong Kong Convention Centre.

Admiralty is so called because it was once the operational base for the British Royal Navy in the Far East, for more than 150 years. At street level, in nearby Wan Chai, is the modern evolution of the legacy of off-duty servicemen′s recreation and entertainment - luxury restaurants, sports bars, bars and massage houses - mixed with a bustling commercial area. Above, in the high-rise buildings that dominate almost all of the Hong Kong skyline, are offices and apartments that seem to reach the sky.

In addition to being a primary business location on Hong Kong Island, Admiralty is home to a number of internationally branded, Hong Kong luxury hotels and is ultra-convenient as the defacto transportation hub for Hong Kong Island, both for above and below ground mass transit services.

From Admiralty it is but a few minutes drive (or cable car ride) up to The Peak, where Hong Kong homes of the highest elevation and luxury can be glimpsed between the trees.
