I can fly to Singapore round trip for US$51 (Php2,400) on Tiger Airways on the same dates (13-20 November) as I have just booked a round trip to Davao that costs Php4,200 (US$90) on Zest Air or Cebu Pacific Air. That's almost half the price for more than twice the distance! Or a cost-per-mile of one fourth. Why? I am sure Singapore is not cheaper to operate from that Manila, Clark or Davao.
How can Cebu Pacific Air sit there and tout "now everyone can fly" when they are still cheating us.
It is no wonder that domestic tourism never takes of in our country - its cheaper to go abroad.
Wake up Cebu Pacific and Zest Air (and the even more overpriced Philippine Airlines). If you want to help the Philippines to develop as a prime tourist destination in Asia you will have to stop being so greedy.
