The best amusement park / theme park in Philippines?

In my opinion the best amusement park / theme park in Philippines is Gloria's Fantasy Land at Dapitan, about 20 minutes from Dipolog airport.

Why? Because Gloria's Fantasy Land has more fun rides and more participation activities than the Enchanted Kingdom and Star City plus it is located next to a mall, so mum and dad can enjoy themselves while the children are enjoying the fun rides and other participation activities. Gloria's Fantasy Land at Dapitan is related to the world famous Dakak Park and Beach Resort - possibly one of the most famous family beach resorts in the Dumaguete / Bohol / Dapitan island triangle.

At Gloria's Fantasy Land amusement park / theme park my favourite ride is the California-style roller coaster. It is not as sophisticated as some roller coaster rides at Disneyland but the Gloria's Fantasy Land roller coaster has a surprising first drop that takes the breath away.

The Gloria's Fantasy Land galleon ship fun ride is a must also plus there is the river ride, the Gloria's Fantasy Land shooting range (for those who want shoot (papier mache) wild game with laser-tag guns), bumper cars and swivel / swing rides galore and even a rocket ship for those who want to reach for the stars.

Actually the Gloria's Fantasy Land amusement park / theme park is on a par with the famous headland rides of Hong Kong Ocean Park, making it the best amusement park / theme park in the Philippines by my vote.

For Php300 you can enjoy all of the rides from around 5.00pm until midnight 7-days a week (longer hours at weekends) - you have to pay an extra Php75 for the go-karting.

In the mall adjacent to Gloria's Fantasy Land they will soon open cinemas to augment the existing boutique shops, coffee shops, restaurants and discotheque . . . for the parents and those older kids.

If you have done Enchanted Kingdom and Star City then you will be pleasantly surprised by Gloria's Fantasy Land at Dapitan.

Tour packages to Gloria's Fantasy Land, including accommodation at Dakak Park and Beach Resort, start at around Php4,000 per person (3-days/2 nights) . . . a little more on weekends and public holidays.
