Puerto Galera is famous for scuba diving. Partly because it lies in the "center of the center of marine biodiversity in Asia" and partly because it features some of the most interesting scuba diving dive sites in Asia including, probably the most famous: The Canyons. Other water sports include: some great snorkelling, river and bay kayaking, jet skiing.
You can play tennis in Puerto Galera: in Puerto Galera town, near
Muelle Pier; The Moorings near the Puerto Galera Yacht Club; and, at the Sandbar Resort on Boquete Beach.
Other outdoor activities include: hiking the rain forest trails, swimming in waterfalls and there is event a gun club with shooting range for pistol shooting. Feeling really energetic? join the Puerto Galera Hash House Harriers in weekly runs around Puerto Galera.
