I traveled the SCTEx yesterday from Manila to Subic Bay and back, and discovered that the new entry exits for Porac and Floridablanca, in Pampanga, are now, finally open for business.
It has been a few years coming but if you now want to access the SCTEx from Porac and Floridabalanca to avoid the farm-to-market roads - especially as the sugarcane and maize harvests are now being collection / transported - then it is now possible.

The historic town of Porac, half-obliterated by the lahar flows that gushed from the slopes of Mount Pinatubo in the early 1990s, is a typical rural, Pampanga farming town.

Floridablanca, apart from being the home of my first girlfriend, is also the home of the Basa Airbase - formerly a US Air Force airbase now a Philippine Air Force airbase, mostly for training.
Now there is even more reason / motivation to open a service station along the SCTEx including, maybe, a Burger King that actually has everything available on the menu for breakfast and a convenience store that loads BOTH Smart and Globe mobile phone numbers. Come on Pampanga entrepreneurs what about it?
