How Many Volcanoes are there in the Philippines?

This question keeps coming up in conversations so I did the research on Philippine volcanoes and found the following facts:

Active Philippine volcanoes = 22 volcanoes

Last significant eruption = Mount Mayon volcano, Albay province, Jun. 24-Jul. 26, 2001

Philippine volcano with the most recorded eruptions = Mount Mayon volcano, 48 recorded eruptions

Potentially active Philippine volcanoes = 27 volcanoes

Inactive Philippine volcanoes = 358 volcanoes

However, ' Inactive ' is only a relative term: the strikingly isolated Mount Arayat, in Pampanga province, not more that 50km from Mount Pinatubo, is on the ' Inactive Volcano ' list and Mount Arayat showed signs of coming back into life when Mount Pinatubo blew its top in July 1992.

What volcano in California is acting like it might soon create a caldera? I remember my geology professor mentioning it last semester, but I cannot remember which volcano it is. Thanks!

California is not really our focus but at this time there are no volcanoes in California that are showing any significant activity that would suggest the formation of a caldera.

For current volcano warnings information for North America you can use the following reference page from the US Geological survey http://vulcan.wr.usgs.gov/Publications/hazards_reports.html

In the Philippines, volcanoes on activity alert are: Mount Mayon, Legaspi, Albay.
