Direct flights to Boracay Caticlan airport are operational again according to airline sources in Manila.

Flights to Boracay Caticlan Airport was temporarily suspended last year (for all aircraft except SEAir's) because of safety concerns. Remedial action at the airport followed by rigorous testing have resulting in the Philippine Civil Aviation Authority allowing direct flights once again for Cebu Pacific Air, PAL Express and Zest Air in addition to SEAir.

Fly direct to Boracay Caticlan from Manila International Airport (NAIA), Clark International Airport (DMIA), Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and Davao International Airport.

OK, so our information about flying to Boracay / Caticlan airport came from the airport management company - the ones that are supposed to know what is coming and going because they manage the aeroplanes on the ground.

This evening, we talked to each airline independently and discovered that Air Philippines / PAL Express does indeed fly to Boracay / Caticlan airport directly "most of the time", except when "the weather or the load factor require a landing at Kalibo".

Cebu Pacific and Zest Air are still not fling to Boracay / Caticlan airport at the moment.

So the two options to fly direct to Boracay / Caticlan are: SEAir and Air Philippines / PAL Express (most of the time).

We will provide more details as it becomes available.
