Tagaytay is a nice trip for anyone wanting to get out of Metro Manila for a day.

Being stressed and knowing that the school year is about to start i decided to take my family away during the week.

We headed off on a Tuesday morning about 9:30-10:00.

Picking up two other people for the trip we headed off down, to Tagaytay.

To get there is a real easy drive. It is from Metro Manila onto the South Super Highway down to the Santa Rosa exit.

Once you are there just turn off and after passing Coca Cola on the right next to the Toll gate turn Right.

Now just drive...

It will take a while to get there, so take some snacks for the kids and some drinks.

If you forget you can pull off the highway and get some at the service stations.

You will arrive in Tagaytay at a T intersection. To get to the town turn right or if you want the Picnic area turn left.

At the Picnic area there are lots of tables and places where you can set up a little barbque. They have a really nice walk where you can walk around the mountain side. Not something you want to do if it is wet. but on a nice day, it is a fantastic walk. Dont forget to take something to drink and a bag for your rubbish, W hen you get off the path there are some Rubbish bins. Please use them.


We had a great time the entire time we were there it rained while we were undercover and sunny when out and about.

We stayed the night at a little hotel just off the main road , they have 2 Pools, 2 Spa's 2 Billard tables, Nice rooms and good food. I cannot remember the place but wlll update this when i do.

It was lovely being the only people there we had the Spa and the pool to ourselves.

After a good night sleep, we headed back to Metro Manila, (We could have gone back the same day, But it is nice to be in a hotel for a night.)
On the way back we purchased the Famous Buco Pie, Some fresh Vegtables and Some plants.

One day have to go there and have a good look about the furniture places on the main road back to Santa Rosa..

We pulled up at Santa Rosa Shopping centre, and had a quick meal.

Not been there before? Well it is a nice place with some hidden restaurants, which should be tried.
