The information we have on record is that the Dive The Gulf scuba diving event around Samal Island will take place from 19th - 23rd April, 2010.
The Dive The Gulf event is for scuba diving enthusiasts who want to explore the largely unexplored scuba diving havens of the Davao Gulf, focusing on areas near Samal Island.
The Dive the Gulf event is an annual scuba diving event and it is rumoured that this year it will be centered around the
Punta Del Sol Beach Resort on the West Coast of Samal Island, facing Davao City. We are trying to confirm the venue but wherever it is centered you can be sure of excellent scuba diving around Samal Island in Apri. Special features of Samal Island scuba diving encounters are with hawksbill sea turtles, dugong and whale sharks.
In recent months (September and November) the Provincial Tourism Office has been actively training scuba diving guides to assist local and international visitors to discover the on-land and underwater delights of Samal Island, as well as training nature tours guides and massage specialists.
Samal Island is 30-minutes from
Davao International Airport. Fly to Davao International Airport from Singapore, Manila and Cebu with direct international flights.
Samal Island is one of the World's best vacation islands offering water sports, adventure sports and nature tours plus a range of accommodations from dormitory to one of the World's most exclusive beach resorts. In addition to Dive the Gulf events, scuba diving and snorkeling Samal Island offers: spelunking, caving, white-water rafting, mountain climbing, bird watching, kayaking, sailing and off-road experiences.
